speculations and rumours about upcoming Suunto watches

well, to me it’s a leak if there is not yet an official announcement.
shops marketing strategies are devilish … “whooops, that page wasn’t supposed to be published till xx/xx, sorry”
-
@sartoric agreed and noted.
-
I wonder if OHR is gonna be any good because of similar weight as S9B…

One expectation we didn’t discussed yet, and important to me : hope this next watch to come will be “made in finland” and with the same sustainable concerns it was for the previous models (9pp espacialy).
Also hope it will be supported as long as my S9B has been so far !
I’m personnaly fully confident it will be ! -

Also : if maps are coming as it seems to be, I’d be glad if there was an option to enable/disable maps “on the flight”, to save battery. For instance while following a track, I’d like to choose to navigate with maps, or only with the track as it is today with S9 series, and having a shortcut to activate/disactivate them !
-
@Tieutieu I love that Suunto watches allow us to enable/disable various things during activity, and if they implement maps I hope they will do the same. I am with you in this, maps are useful navigating new terrain, but in places I know well they would just use more battery than necessary.
-
I’m excited to see the new model. Maps would be a great addition. Especially if you can turn it on and off.
My only hope is that Suunto does not go with the new trend: Features based on subscriptions.
-
If everybody’s expressing hopes regarding uncofirmed featuers, I ought to chime in: I hope suunto will do maps better than coros i.e. that the route is a part of the maps and going off-route would trigger automatic rerouting (turn on/off optionally).
-
@DMytro actually Coros triggers a deviation warning when you leave the route, but will NOT reroute you by itself. Where Coros ‘failed’ is that, their routing in their new beta app does not work offline (at least not yet).
-
@DMytro I’d even be happy with the option to reroute using an external maps source like a GPS unit or (more likely) the mobile app.
Otherwise, unless the display is going to get a MAJOR update in size and resolution I’m very happy with the current state of the nav - especially with my active look glasses.
-
I think the new watch will be selling like crazy.
-
@Highlands i sure hope so, would like to see suunto expand the user base a bit.
-
@DMytro I wonder whether they’ll launch a bigger, X version of the new watch like 51-52 mm.

I dig the looks of S9B Titanium limited edition. Wish they carry over that style to new watches.
-
@Highlands One of the best looking devices out there! I almost bought a second one already owning the Ambassador Edition (which is another best looking device imo)
-
@Hristijan-Petreski The Ambassador has a freaking terrific design.
