speculations and rumours about upcoming Suunto watches
-
I would only consider to change for a newer Suunto for the moment if new one has maps.
-
@Tieutieu From DC Rainmaker review: “note that full roll-out of these new features may take up to a week for all users to start seeing them, via the updated app”
-
@Efejota I understand that it may depends of the number/volume of activities ? I see all the features they describe since I updated SA yesterday.
-
@Mitch9 I just had this come up in one of my feeds in Microsoft Edge, but the link is broken currently which is proper. Must be something coming soon though: …mazon.ca/SUUNTO-Vertical-Adventure-Offline-Charging/dp/B0C11B8ZGK
-
If it is in Suunto’s filing with the FCC, is it a leak?
-
@mikekoski490 don’t see a google cache yet.
-
-
@altcmd 48.8mm diameter. Bigger than 9PP.
-
@altcmd but smaller than s9b
-
@DMytro would be good if the display is the same size though.
-
@el2thek true! Certainly it must be bigger than s9pp
-
The question of maps seems to be answered.
-
Do you think the new Suunto Vertical will be a high-end model?
Or should we wait for the Suunto 10? -
@Ultrawalker I’d bet on high end model.
-
@Ultrawalker The Highendmodel will be the Vertical Peak Pro
-
@DMytro I think the 48.8 is the bezel size and if I am not mistaken the 50 mm of S9Baro is a bit beyond the bezel so I expect same size as the S9Baro.
-
@StefanoMorgan Once released and naming is confirmed I would love some explanation behind the naming strategy by some Suunto affiliates (if any)
-
@Hristijan-Petreski maybe, I don’t know if e.g. buttons are included in measurement. But in principle I wouldn’t mind retaining the screen size while shirking the overall watch profile.
-
@DMytro said in speculations and rumours about upcoming Suunto watches:
@Ultrawalker I’d bet on high end model.
Wouldn’t bet the same ; high model will have maps for sure, and the packaging leaks don’t show maps…
(One of my other expectation is that the strap will be 24mm)I hope I’m wrong and you’re right…because if I’m right, that means I’ll have to wait more to change my S9B !!
-
@Tieutieu Maybe the new chip will be able to handle the computing power needed so it will come in future upgrade (3.x.x) and the older watches will stay in 2.x.x.
Or maybe the packaging is not final and these are devices sent to test, review, etc…
But based on previous timing we will soon know it all in 10-14 days hopefully. May the 4th is nice date
