Update went smoothly on S9B
To see S+ data chart in action I enabled burner and it produced weird data. At constant intensity the chart is flipping between 0 and about 50 perfect fat ratio, average is 14, but the summary tells 1g fat vs. 106g carbs.
Here you are:

@jjpaz the vertical line was already here before the update
-
@jjpaz and didn’t notice the new bold font…

The AictiveLook feature seems to be intriguing.
Although sports glasses that supports it may be pricey, they will be very helpful and motivating for me.
I didn’t expect that Suunto will support this feature for old models.
Thanks! -
I’ve tried out a couple of things and here’s my little feedback:
Auto brightness is indeed much better, one of the highlights for me!
Quick start is also noticeable, even with a guide.
Text in guides became bigger?
One thing that I missed is improvement of the guides: quicker transition window, audio/vibration feedback, etc - hope this will come eventually.
I don’t use S+ that much, but maybe the under-the-hood improvements will eventually bring some S+ features that would be useful to me. Still a very nice update from suunto and I’m looking forward to seeing where things go next.

My feedback since I updated my S9B :
- as everyone raise to wake is not just usefull now, but almost perfect !
- start activity : no more anoying, starts instantly
- also noticed a far better reactivity of the watch in general (navigating the menus/settings)
- Wasn’t able to tell if there’s a difference in displays fonts => guess there is no change
Great improvements, well done Suunto !
-
great job Suunto!
The watch has become much better in everything. (5 peaks).
It is faster, the background lighting is much more sensitive.
Thanks. -
There is no S+ data chart for fat&carbs after circuit training.
Is is bug?
Last SA beta for iOS.In general It is very good update and also I wait, when I can create my own guides (Unfortunately structured workouts not always good replace - very few symbols for describing each part is blocker for complex exercises).
-
Today I tested the update doing a run as usual,
Quick start of the activity and background light are great updates. For the rest I need to test with Suunto Guides.
I also have noticed that the watch seems faster and with increased responsiveness but this I need to confirm after some weeks, because I guess the update has cleaned the watch’s memory and could be some placebo effect.
Good job Suunto!!

Some updates in guides text for sure.

We need those updates for sure, so let’s keep asking them!
-
Do you have any roadmap for incoming updates? So we know when/what to expect?
-
@Szymon7887 no, Suunto does not release any roadmap.
-
@Szymon7887 Personal guess is that we will see updates for S3/5/9 on a basis of the Suunto+ features. The big work behind the scenes is that this way, additional features can be dynamically pushed to the watch using SA.
This is where Suunto, partners and hopefully individuals can become creative. -
@Egika i wonder then if we’ll the s line will get any updates to guides/navigation then. If it’s only going to be s+, it’s fine as well:)
-
Improvement on raise to wake feature is really considerable. No high-publicity progress but great for real users!
-
@Egika Sounds great. Right now I feel like this shop is little empty but have potential
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos
No, it doesn’t work after update
-
@vio112
just add water
-
@freeheeler
Thank you, it really works after cca 1 minute
-
@vio112
but without water, too
