Technically totally makes sense to me.you are totally right
i am still used to Spartan fused alti (blocked if manual altitude setup), AND, and old memories about some “progressive” adjustment at beginning of activity (don’t remember from where i have this memories).

I think it was like that also for S9B…
start and end alti could be better, but I assume it becomes better the longer the activity runs… and even then: with gnss comparison and correction, not bad -
