Suunto 9 Peak Pro?
-
@Egika ah, yes, it’s there on Android too. It seems that I was too lazy to press and hold it Thanks for the tip!
-
@Łukasz-Szmigiel oh I didnt know that lol
-
@isazi Any ETA on this?
-
@Łukasz-Szmigiel I have to say, after 3 or 4 years with S9B, I am so happy with S9PP! I didn’t have any issues with my S9B (apart from the bad middle button) and it is a great watch, we ran so many kilometres together! However to be honest I felt that the competition is pulling apart from Suunto. But in my opinion S9PP is such a great device!
I agree with everything you said. All the improvements, smaller or bigger, make a huge sense to me. The experience from using S9PP is so much better that I can’t imagine to go back to my S9B because there would be something missing.
I have to say that I didn’t like the smaller size at first but I got used to it and it is so much comfortable for everyday wear that I almost forget I am wearing the watch.
I know that the watch isn’t perfect and there is definitely a big room for improvement but… I am happy that I didn’t give up on Suunto like a few of my friends did.
Thanks to everyone participating on this great piece of electronics and thanks to all the people in this forum for not giving up on Suunto. I know that it is just a device, a thing, and it doesn’t make or break how I feel during training and running. However I can say that I hadn’t feel so good about some device for a long time. And in a way it makes me happy

@Zdeněk-Hruška Now imagine that the S9PP is already at home, but I won’t get it as a gift until Christmas Day. 🤭.
-
I had a rare unhappy GPS day today, but the last 3-4 runs before this my GPS with S9PP has been amazingly accurate. Right side of the cycling path for most of the duration level accurate. Of course there are wiggles here and there, but it’s just so much smoother and with so many fewer forays into buildings comapred to any previous watch I’ve owned.
I’ve also noticed that this reduces the distance compared to my S9B by at least 1%. I’ve gotten slower with the new toy :D.
-
@Martin-Vrska Actually it’s a great thing! The watch can get even better before the Christmas Eve so your experience may be much more interesting! And as an added value you will have bigger motivation to go outside during the Christmas holiday!
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos yeah, there’s no visual indication until you press and hold

@Łukasz-Szmigiel
Is this re-ordering of widgets available in iOS public SA? -
@lexterm77 I don’t know, I’m on Android beta.
-
@lexterm77 yes, it is
-
@pilleus Is it possible or will it ever be possible to see notifications on the watch from third party apps as well? Thanks.
-
@Martin-Vrska it’s possible, yes.
-
@taziden I can only see sms, WhatsUp, Instagram in the app, but how do I add more please?
-
-
@Martin-Vrska within Suunto App, click on the watch icon top right, then in the list, you should have an entry called “Notifications on the watch” or something like that (it’s in french for me). There you can select which applications can or can’t deliver notifications to the watch.
Edit: I have at least one application for which it doesn’t work but I suspect the issue comes from the 3rd party app as it has not been updated in a while.
-
@altcmd soon, if everything goes well.
-
@Martin-Vrska said in Suunto 9 Peak Pro?:
@taziden I can only see sms, WhatsUp, Instagram in the app, but how do I add more please?
It seems that not all apps are on that list by default. Sometimes you need to receive a new notification from an app for it to be on the list.
My experience. It may already be documented here.

Are there any plans to make widgets open for external developers like S+ apps?
-
@Łukasz-Szmigiel I’ve heard somewhere that s+ might be expanding to watch mode also. Don’t know if/when this will happen, but I suppose it’s precisely what you want.
