Suunto 9 Peak Pro?
-
Oooh so it looks like I might be able to purchase an S9PP through the Suunto UK site, free delivery to NZ too
-
@dulko79 to quote a famous saying from the forum here âwatches donât runâ
-
@freeheeler Mine S9PP should arrive tomorrow. As I have big wrist and used to big watches I am curios to see if I can get used to a smaller one.
Ordered from amazon so I have 1 full month to test it and return back if not satisfied.
Keep you posted. -
@fluca
Iâm curious about your impression -
Quick question to the S9PP owners concerning structured workouts. I know that S+ (eg. TP) structured workouts currently do not have any tone/vibration feedback when intervals change, let alone when not in target range (hr, pace, etc.). But for the intervals created using the Suunto app (iOS maybe, not sure on Android), does the watch do the following:
- Vibrate when interval changes
- Vibrate when not in target range (hr, pace, etc.)
Thanks!

Hi S9PP owners, quick question: how quick is the transition of screens when starting an activity, for example it takes 4 seconds from pressing the start button on S9P and a further 5 or more seconds to show HR belt reading on the screen.
Has this been improved? can anyone point to a video that demonstrates this or even post a video??Many thanks & much appreciate any replies.

@freeheeler On 2, its something Garmin and Polar do as well. For instance, if you have an interval HR range of 140-150 BPM, going under or over will result in a vibrate to warn you that you are out of target range. Its a gentle nudge rather than constantly looking at the watch to see if you are in range.

@altcmd
ok, only when you fall below or raise above the limits.
makes sense. -
@freeheeler So I am guessing that the PP doesnt vibrate on 2?
-
@altcmd
letâs find out
edit: it doesnât vibrate, when crossing the limits -
@altcmd it doesnât, it has been requested, Suunto is aware of this.

@TonyG your S9P will also show the activity screen immediately after pressing the start button with next firmware update. Currently there is still a 4-6 seconds delay if using S+ apps or guides, but I hope that will also be fixed.
-
@isazi what about S9(B)? Or is hw not sufficient.
-
@DMytro same, all old watches will get immediate screen switch to activity after pressing start button. Not sure if older hardware will ever manage to also get a fast start with S+.
-
I ordered the S9PP 12 days ago. No further info since then. No shipping Info. Just my creditcard has been charged and booked.
-
@Set_218 I pre-ordered and it shipped on Oct. 25th with a 3 day delivery for the 28th, and arrived Nov. 4. The DHL online tracking didnât provide any updates to a delivery date until it was out for delivery on the 4th.

Does the Suunto 9 Peak Pro have issues with STRYD dropouts like the Suunto 9 Baro? Iâve noticed a lot of dropouts in the STRYD app when using my Suunto 9. I looked up the problem and discovered this is a known problem with Suunto devices. Wondering if the 9 Peak Pro has the same problem.

The S9B says with the best GPS enabled the battery life is 25 hours, however because I donât have HR enabled this bumps it up nicely to 33 hours
Do you know if the same applies to the S9PP in the sense that the advertised 40 hours is with HR on? If thatâs toggled off and some tweaks are made does that get the watch closer to 50 hours off a full charge? Also, do you have the ability to create custom battery profiles like you can with the S9B?

@TyreseJ4 Didnât tried yet as I wanted to test first wrist power from suunto (which by the way seems to be quite consistent with Stryd).
But on Stryd app, wrist power from Suunto does still show some dropouts so I guess problem is not solved
