Suunto 9 Peak Pro?
-
-
@freeheeler Yes, obviously :D. kg/dm3. Edited.
-
And afair Ti should also be less conductive and a better thermal insulator, isn’t it?
-
In Ti models, construction is not stainless steel, so forget about putting a flux capacitor inside.
-
@freeheeler yes, also a few times here
It would be awesome if one could actually see a watch mockup with chosen data applied on the screen. And getting rid of the absurdly long list… Even a search field or a filter of sorts would help a lot.
I often create either very simple sports modes (i.e. 4 fields, 1 screen) or complex (as much data as possible :D) and I like to have speed next to avg speed, hr next to avg hr, etc. So there’s plenty of scrolling.
-
2018 : @Tim4c mockup for a suggested design for sportsmode data field arrangements : categories already exists, but expandable/groupable and search field box could highly improve the speed for customizing a mode.

unfortunetely, i don’t think it comes into any official feature suggestion (@sartoric searchinator++ ? )

Does the S9PP still have the same, single sensor limit per type (HR, pod, etc.)?
-
Under section 4.12.4 of the manual, it says that the watch alerts you when you are under or over a interval zone (HR, pace, etc.). Is this the case only when you create the interval plan on the watch? I tried the structured workout planner in the iOS app and synced with S9PB but got no such notification, nor do Guides workouts.
-
@altcmd yes.
-
@altcmd correct. It has been requested to have alerts also with S+ Guides.
-
Is Strava segment already available on SA latest version I don’t find it.
Edit, it is present. Definitively need some sleep
-
@isazi that’s a real bummer having to re-pair HR straps if you have multiple ones in circulation. Not sure why such limitations continue to be so - any insght on why it is still the case?
-
@isazi that’s good to hear. Hopefully sooner rather than later.
-
Is it just me or vibration sound in s9pp is realy loud but not much stronger? It is really annoying how it sounds. Like watch will fall apart after vibration sound. Maybe my unit is lemon?
-
@krakra
my wife’s comment was pretty similar to yours.
she’s used to S7 vibration. -
@krakra The vibration on the Pro is more substantial. Something I appreciated, I rarely miss feeling it when working out!
-
Just got mine. First impressions:
- Ui faster, but still lagging on moments
- Charging cable is really cheap compared to the cable that comes with S9P or S9B. Magnets on it are really weak.
- vibrations are stronger
- display colors are same or indistinguishable difference
- raise to backlight is better
- customising sport modes for third time is terrible
- new Ui is ok in terms of design, still getting used to it
- SpO2 sensor FINALLY showed at least approximate result (96%), on S9P I eas constantly getting 82-86%.
- I turned off media controls in settings but widget still shows - bug maybe?
- suunto REALLY needs to work on synchronization between app and watch. We really need ability to change all settings on the watch and customize everything from the app. And store all settings in cloud. This is my 4th suunto watch (s3f (sold almost immediately), s9b, s9p,s9pp) and I have to setup everything from scratch every time
More to come

@Dušan-Ković That’s annoying to hear. I know I had an anoying bug of persistent wrist HR in running mode and would have to disable it each time I went for a run. Not sure why the sport mode just could not remember a simple setting but reverted to default. Same goes for Feeling: dispite disabling, it kept asking. All this on the S9BT.
-
@altcmd I believe wrist HR toggling is now remembered, same for feelings.
-
@Dušan-Ković said in Suunto 9 Peak Pro?:
.- I turned off media controls in settings but widget still shows - bug maybe?
There is now a widget menu in App, you can choose which widgets to turn on and off. I had to turn off media controls there. There are two settings on on the watch to turn off media controls during activity, and one in the app to turn off media controls widget in watch mode in the app
