Suunto 9 Peak Pro?
-
A really really nice video from Marc. I love to see the Suunto site were the magic happens.
-
@Patrick-Löffler Surfing has been there for a long time and still is.
Plus: There is a new Surfer S+ feature under test, that gathers additional data, like last wave stats (duration, length, max speed) plus stats like # of waves surfed, distance surfed and paddled, longest wave etc…) -
@Bogdan1921 yes!
-
@Patrick-Löffler it wasn’t Ray, it was the 5krunner that listed the new sport mode that is coming to the other watches too.
-
@Patrick-Löffler it was 80+, I wonder which others sports were added. Yet I don’t do a lot of different sports, so s9 offering satisfies me quite a bit.
-
@Egika how accurate is this anyways? I’m really curios how much data one can pull from an accelerometer.
-
@DMytro detecting paddling versus riding shouldn’t be that difficult, the arm movement is very different.
-
@isazi I guess so
-
@DMytro
and maybe speed.
with paddling against the waves I almost never get beyond 3.5km/h, drifting with the current while waiting is even slower, but once you catch a wave it relatively quickly accelerates you to however fast they are coming in… -
@herlas said in Suunto 9 Peak Pro?:
Let’s see if S9PP starts shipping before the release date as it happened with S9P
Maybe not this time
-
A nice post about the new GPS modes: https://www.suunto.com/fy-nl/sports/News-Articles-container-page/why-navigating-with-a-suunto-has-never-been-better/

Does Suunto S9 Peak Pro have the same straps as S9 Peak, can be exchanged between watches?
-
@dulko79 yes they can, 22MM straps fit S5P, S9P and S9PP
-
@dulko79 I have used a nylon strap for about 3 years, same one, and still excellent.
It gets ‘stiff’ with sweat and needs a good wash every now and again, but I like it. I do not use the HR, so no idea if it good for the connection.
I don’t run. used for cycling. It is soaked in sweat several times a week.
-
I’ll buy the all black one.
-
@skifun
I’ve ordered Titanium Sand for my wife
…and I really love Slate or Ocean -
@freeheeler I’m still waiting until I know for certain that this watch doesn’t suffer from those weird speed wobbles/spikes on windsurfing activities. But since it still has a Sony GNSS chip, there is a chance I will end up with the same results.
-
@surfboomerang
we don’t windsurf, but is this something that could be simulated? if so, let me know and I can try -
@freeheeler you gave her the s9pp but you also gonna to borrow her watch to see if the size of the watch fit with your needs before to move or not to s9pp I am jocking
-
@freeheeler I pre-ordered the Ti Slate last week and I see the suunto site now says :Availability: Not yet available
?
Hope this means it’s sold out, and not some issue with this version that will delay shipping next week.
