Suunto 9 Peak Pro?
-
Looks like more of the same but nevertheless it looks interesting. But then again, Suunto has been a misunderstood brand to the sports community. Glad to hear there’s a good OHR monitor on this one.
Not entirely sold just yet but I’m definitely leaning in this direction. I’d still like to wait and see what’s on the horizon from Suunto before pulling the trigger and replacing my S9B. Lol unlike some of you here I don’t have $500+ to blow every 6 months or so.
Is DC Rainmaker skipping this one or just late?

@TyreseJ4 Ray was probably busy with the Marq 2 release from Garmin. S9PP is not available before the 25th of October, so I expect an in-depth review by then.
-
@DMytro I know.
-
@isazi marq who?
-
@Egika thank you for the photos. Do you have any during day light?

With S9PP and SuuntoPlus store, what are the chances that Suunto will introduce subscription in future for some of the features?
-
@Djordje-S I hope it will never happen. Buy hardware and pay monthly if you want to be able to use it. This is big “no go zone” for me.

Subscription for Training program yes please
Subscription for features no please no. -
@zhang965 Dont get me wrong,I would like not to be charged but basically, you will buy a watch with basics and if you want something more advanced , subscribe and download via SA.
-
@Djordje-S
spontaneous thought: if you pay extra for an update, basically every watch will be on a different stage and Suunto has no reference anymore.
with lower watch prices, I would be willing to pay for updates, but I think it is very difficult to manage -
@Djordje-S at least to my knowledge nothing like that is planned or developed now. Paid sports apps or guides or other content, especially from partners - maybe (not planned, but would make sense imo), but not subscription to use your watch features. Though ofc who knows how things might change in several years.
-
@Egika it looks quite polished.
Nice! -
The comparison tool on the Suunto website shows a number of functions missing compared with the 9P. Is this correct or is it an error?
-
@freeheeler or it will create a chance for customisation Tailor your watch . Why should I have fishing as a sport mode if not using it……my apologies btw, I have used “features” little more broadly but I believe that you understand thoughts behind……
-
@wakarimasen which functions?
-
S9P is on the right

-
@wakarimasen yes, site issue. S9PP has all meaningful features from S9P
-
@wakarimasen S9PP has more features than the S9P, not less.
-
@isazi Good to hear! Would be good to have the website corrected

Question to all the early testers: do you know if the watch lugs (the protrusions that the strap attaches to) are made of metal (steel or titanium) like the bezel?
