Suunto 9 Peak Pro?
-
Quick question: When restarting the watch (off -> on) the watch shows 02:00 AM / Jan 2nd and will only show the correct time after a sync with the App.
Is that a bug or a feature?If I do not have my phone with me and need to restart the watch, I cannot use it or am I wrong?

Maybe in that case a gps fix it’s enough
-
@sartoric I’ll give it a try but it’s surprisingly the very first watch not “remembering” the time. Very odd.
-
@lessthanmore i’ve just tested on mine. You can set the date and time manually in the setting after reboot.
Skip the “sync with the app is recommended” screen, then general settings, there you have the Time/Date entry in the menu, and you need to deselect “Automatic time update via Suunto app” in order to set the date and time manually. It will try to get a GPS fix and then suggest to set manually. -
@lessthanmore
for how long did you switch off the watch? is it possible that the battery was empty?
both my kids have an S3 and the sometimes don’t use them for several weeks. when the batteries die, the watch goes back to january.
I don’t think that a simple switch off/on should set time and date back… -

I don’t think that a simple switch off/on should set time and date back…On S9 Peak and S9PP, a reboot (stop / start) will reset the date/time unfortunately.

@taziden
did you switch it off and date and time were reset?…edit: alright, thanks for the update.

No full name in Strava…Only Suunto…
How long we still have to wait? -
@Ultrawalker I think you need to address this question to Strava…
But what does it help in training?`
-
@Egika your friends know you have a new watch and they are jealous
-
I also think it’s related to Strava as Runalyze is showing it properly.
-
Suunto is in contact with Strava about this issue.
-
workaround, rename your shoe as suunto 9 peak pro
BTW, strava is laaaaaaaaaaaaaame
-
@zhang965 haha

Sorry I wasn’t sure if this is worth a new thread but my S9PP crashed today whilst recording a training run.
I pressed the middle button to dismiss a notification, then immediately again on another notification - by rapidly dismissing them it rebooted the watch. The activity was saved but it was really annoying.
I’ve sent my Logs to Suunto through the iOS app, but how do I match those logs with what I experienced so it can be reported as a bug?
-
@jasoncuddy
I’m not sure if it is related to the crashes we see with baro and peak, since pro is running on a different firmware.
I know that @isazi has started collecting log info for crashes on those…
what’s basically needed is: time, date and timezone logs sent and the login mail address to your SA account you have sent logs from.
a brief description of your settings and what happened before the crash is helpful. of course because of privacy with your email: private message, no post here -
I am having trouble finding this link strap on the Suunto website. Anyone got a link?

@jasoncuddy
in my understanding it is a special edition. S9P full titanium. it is available with the watch only.
