Suunto 9 Peak Pro?

Assuming that I have standby set to adaptive and rise to wake to enabled - when does the standby kick in? It seems to me that in such configuration only the regular backlight works? Or does the backlight ignore the brightness setting (low, mid, high) and light up according to light sensor readings?
-
@Łukasz-Szmigiel with raise to wake enabled that has precedence over everything, so backlight is off and only turns on when you move your wrist.
-
@isazi oh OK. So in order to use standby I’d have to disable rise to wake? Do you have any idea if it was considered to add rise to wake “only when not in workout”? So that rise to wake is used in time mode but standby in workout mode?
-
@Łukasz-Szmigiel just use raise to wake as your normal setting.
In the activity options available before the start and during the activity, there is a separate option to enable the backlight constantly. -
@Egika I know, but such backlight is strong, isn’t it? I prefer very dim backlight for workouts as it doesn’t leave an afterglow.

Updated to 2.18 on iOS but am not seeing the supposed two new widgets as claimed in the update.
-
@altcmd What widgets?
-
@Brad_Olwin description says Ascent and Minimum HR last 7 days.
-
Thats SA widget, not related to S9PP.
-
I’m this new SA version appear for S9PP the possibility to put the widget’s with the order that you like .
The main page of SA have new dashboard of heart ️ : Resume new dashboard- Tags.
- Sunto Plus+ Data in the workout

@lexterm77 Got it. Thanks!

Someone on Suunto FB group posted a short movie: https://www.facebook.com/reel/875988666919110
Watch material and strap type are perfect combination. -
I wonder: Was there a time in design and development of the new UI when font size was smaller than it is now, but whitespace between data fields was larger? Was such configuration tested or considered?

Anyone seeing high times for GPS lock before a workout? I’ve experienced a couple for over 10 mins and in open sky situations and watch synced frecuently with SA so not a Agps thing I suppose?

I met that a couple of times with s9p, about 2 months ago, it was during our team building… I was the last guy who connected to gps…and I’m the only s9p user in our group
-
@herlas Hmmm…mine has been fast acquiring. Im in Vancouver BC. I’m working from home and sit about two feet away from a second-floor window, with a roof overhang, and out of curiosity I turned mine on to running and while I was typing got a gps lock in about 8 seconds, but I had just synced with SA though which may have helped? I tried this 15 years ago with my new Suunto X10 which did get a signal sitting on my couch beside a window but took around 15 minutes lol. At the time I was really impressed!

@mikekoski490 @zhang965 Thx, not sure what’s going on, certainly I haven’t used my S9PP without Stryd in running workouts, not sure if that has something to do with it, will try to get lock without Stryd and see

I saw a couple of complains on this issue about 2 months ago, I cannot show you the exact post, but it was not a isolated issue.

@wakarimasen Nice! I do like some of the other bands Suunto has that are a bit more vented for sports. The ones I like seem to be sold out though.
