Twice now I’ve tried to delete a load of old Points Of Interest from Suunto’s server and they refuse to stay deleted.

      This in the Android app.

I’ve tried both on my phone and my tablet.

If anyone from Suunto reads this, could they kindly offer some advice or fix the problem.

I think the same problem might be affecting Routes as well. I have some old ones extant that I think I deleted, but can’t remember for sure.

Anyway, there does seem to be a little bug in the app.

        Maybe you should contact support.

@David-Young I can’t confirm this issue as a general one. I deleted four no longer necessary POIs from the last months with/in my Android App just two days ago.
They stayed deleted (just checked it again).
Unfortunately I can’t recommend a solution other than ‘try again’ and/or ‘contact support’ 😕

The deletions worked at the third attempt, or at any rate the POIs and Routes I deleted haven’t come back yet.

It’s not the first time it’s happened. It’s a minor irritation, but I thought I’d mention it.

Maybe it’s just a server connection issue

I have a S5. In May I added a POI on my “main” phone for Suunto. After I deleted it, every time I open the map, it still shows until I start to move on the map.
On another device I do experience this.

ES: "Caminante, no hay camino / Se hace camino al andar."
EN: "Wayfarer, there is no way / The way is made by walking."

@sartoric Yes, that could be it. I just put my tablet in Airplane mode and loaded the Suunto app, and all my current POIs and Routes are there. So they exist both inside the app and on the server.

I suppose that even if you’re connected the delete instruction might not reach the server.

Did you already try the edit menu in SA ?

@sartoric Yes, I edited each POI and deleted them from the SA (they were no longer on the watch before I deleted them). For some reason, they reappear.
