any more software updates on sight for spartan series?
-
3yrs ago i bought one of the Suunto top-sellers sport watch (the Spartan Ultra Black and i remember paying over €400 for it.
It was faulty within a year and Suunto support was outstanding. The picked up the watch (for free), replaced with a brand-new watch and redelivered all at no cost.
However, after that positive experience, i started to notice other newer Suunto sport watch models and their continuous software updates but nothing for the Spartan.
I contacted Suunto about it because i started noticing irregular gps and altitude tracking and inquire on whether, or not, Suunto had dropped software support for the Spartan series.
They denied dropping software support however, I have seen another 3 bug updates for the Suunto 7 and 9 series and nothing for Spartan. In a few words, their reply was: “we will update when we will update”.
Does anyone know, or have any hints, on what is happening with the Spartan software?
I must admit, coming from a diving background I have always used Suunto, but I am very disappointed with it at the moment
Regardsp.s.: i know that there is already a thread with a similar issue, but i was advised to open a new thread (rather than posting in the old one).

@freenico
no one knows for sure, but since the watch was released about 6 years ago, and by the posts we can read about Spartan, I wouldn’t expect any more updates.
Suunto is a small company and I imagine they focus on newer products and new product development -

Yes, that’s a forum auto reply, but we prefer to stick to the old post.
Anyway, I’m closing this one to avoid duplicates, as the answer is the same atm, no update planned (but, who knows) maybe with the exception of some specific bug fix. -
