@isazi thanks.

@tyresej4 noted, thanks for the feedback.

@cosme-costa Well, this is for further discussion I would say.
If the implemantation stays as it is, what is the purpose of “End step lap button”? It is meaning less.
I fully agree with description from TP, when the open end should be used and why it should behave exactly, as TP ment it to be working (pass to next step, only when you press the lap button):- Plan a warmup with a minimum duration and an open-ended step so that you or your athlete can make it to an ideal stretch of road before starting the main workout intervals regardless of traffic
- Set approximate work interval durations with open-ended steps to use hills or other terrain features to perform intervals
- Set the recovery intervals to be open-ended to do “full recovery” or heart rate drop or RPE based recovery before starting the next interval
- Set the last step as open-ended to allow additional riding time without the activity ending
So, in a summary - When I want to have a fully automated structured workout, I do NOT enable “End step lap buttom”
- When I wan to manually control pass to next step, I just enable “End step lap button”
-mixing of fully automated intervalls and open-ended intervall, is givving me the beauty of structured intervall, which follows my/athlete needs
Current implementaion is nearly canceling the possibility of manual and semi-manual control of the structured workout.
P.S. I just want to add that it is the great feature and I really appreciate to have it there in my watch. However, I see the space for improvement and allignement (or correct implementation).
-
@dr1mo the paypload in any of the FW files is called “Amsterdam”.
Just use the zip file for your watch and don’t unzip it. -
@dimitrios-kanellopoulos And the forgotten S7 continue to be forgotten Lost cause and hope with Suunto S7! Thanks for sharing anyway

Hi all, not sure if this is this SA (Suunto) or Intervals.icu stuff. I created planned workout for today (run), but I use Track and Field sport on my S9P when I run on track. SA does not show this type of sport and there is no possibility of editing (as when creating a route, when you select sports). How can I add workout on T&F?
Edit: Sorry, I was too fast and I can not delete post I tried on watch and I can still select this Suunto Guide in Track and Field sport mode. I’ll try in the afternoon if everything works.
-
@likarnik if the sport type is the same, the watch will ask you if you want to use the guide before starting the activity. But you can use any guide with any sport type, just by selecting it manually from the settings menu of the activity (the same you do for S+ apps).
-
@egika Yep, I’ve already tried that too. The result is the same - an error “Sanity check error: Unknown mode, requested FileSynchonization”
Where can I get official support? -
Hi all!!!
For the second time I encountered a problem with synchronization of the s9 after finishing a structured cycling workout.
After saving the workout on the watch, synchronization fails and the activity does not go into SA.
The activity is there in the workout log, but the icon is grayed out.
If you remove the activity from the watch log, the synchronization goes as usual.
This time I did not delete the workout and wanted to send logs, but it did not work through SA. I had to connect to SL to send logs.
Can you tell me how I can upload the workout to SA? Thanks!! -
@stas-varazhbit hey when this happens please send logs
-
@dimitrios-kanellopoulos Hi! In SA to send the log is not possible, writes sync error. I sent the log yesterday in SL. 5712288507669800

@freeheeler, @isazi you are right. I posted too soon.
A soft reboot fixed the countdown timer issue.Maybe a small bug after all… happened again today.
Reboot fixed it again (probably temporary) -
With this FW version the calculation of the VO2max has been optimized for trail running, but in my case I think that is less reliable than before and it goes down very easily.
Till now I knew more or less how it will react regarding my pace, HR and run duration but with the new algorithm I hadn’t detect yet how it behaves. I have done two or three nice trail running, with nice ascent, quite nice pace and quite good HR and VO2Max keeps going down.
Not that I care much but I would like to know how it behaves.
-
@cosme-costa
not that I have much experience with VO2max behavior over time, but since I run more frequently VO2max went up. Since the new FW I felt I became better, but VO2max goes down for me, too -
@cosme-costa I live in the flat, but with new firmware I am seeing VO2max going up with walking activities and small hills, while before it was only going down walking uphill. And I’ll probably not be able to test it on real mountains until June/July, but then we may already have another firmware, who knows
-
@freeheeler The thing for me is that in flat runs (sportsmode in the watch: running) I more or less have the same behaviour than before, I haven’t seen much difference. But with the new algo when I do trail running (sportsmode in the watch: trail running) my VO2max goes down despite my numbers are better, and with the previous FW I’m pretty sure that VO2max would not have went down, at least I would have stayed stable.

You know
It is not a big deal, but I feel fitter, my times says the same, and my HR is more controlled than before (I have always had high HR in general comparing with other people) and my VOmax goes down more easily.
-
@isazi just was out in the mountains yesterday, can confirm that my hike increased vO2max by 2 points. Regular flat hikes/walks don’t seem to impact the score though.
