What is the minimum threshold to cause a heatmap signature on the map
-
Was wondering this today idly. Is there a minimum number of times to count to get on the heatmap, is it dynamic over time, or the cumulative efforts of everyone over all time?
Also, is it dependent on region/sport/etc?
I appreciate answers may not be easy to give here but just in case

@the_77 I was wondering that too.

There should be an algorithm that ensure some kind o anonimization, but not sure if this is part of “the secret magic”

I am also curious about this.
Sometimes there are only parts of a street colored. Maybe 100m or so.
It can not be the case, that only this part of the street is covered by runners and the rest not. -
@harry08 tunnels?
-
@suzzlo Good point. But no.
-
@harry08 I have s7 wich shows me heatmaps on the go, do s5/9 do the same?
-
@r-s-0 No.
-
@the_77 I think it needs more people basically rather than many attempts

@r-s-0 No.
interesting. I wonder f it’s a hardware or a screen limitation?? The maps on the S7 look absolutely gorgious. A hybrid between the 7 and 9 would be pretty cool. In regards to the topic, why not send suunto themselves an inquiry?

@dimitrios-kanellopoulos ah, so actual popularity, as opposed to me doing the same loop before work 50 times - good to know!

@r-s-0 I was speaking about the heatmaps in Suunto App
