S9B VO2Max/fitness level not working after update to 2.19.42
-
Good morning forum,
My first post is not a happy one
Unfortunately since the latest update to 2.19.42 my Suunto 9 Baro has stopped estimating my fitness level.
I have tried soft and hard reset, uninstall, reinstall the app, unpaired, paired phone with watch but nothing worked.
The strange thing is that although my activities are recorded as usual (without VO2Max estimation though) and shown in the summary, when I browse to the fitness tab the list of activities stops at the date of the update.Any ideas? Has anyone faced the same issue?
Thank you

@panagiotis-charlaftis no issues here on the S9P. Vo2Max is still calculated and shown

VO2 max calculation needs a certain quality of data. This means a long enough run (or a couple of runs) with good GPS quality and a varying intensity. After a reset, you will need to get the above data before VO2max will show up.
Regarding the app - can you show a screenshot what is missing? Are your activities synced at all?

Thank you for your replies!
@Egika I’m aware that it might take a few workouts. I’m taking care to have good GPS reception and HR reading before starting. I even tried with HR belt once. I follow routes I did in the past where I had no issues with reception etc.
For me the strangest part is the absence of VO2Max from the summary of the workout. All my activities are syncing immediately and everything in the app (besides fitness level) is working just fine.
What is missing is that on the fitness level tab the last activity shown is from the day I did the update…

I guess you need some more run
-
@sartoric I’ll do and I hope it will work

@panagiotis-charlaftis ok, please note that a certain intensity is needed to get VO2max calculated. In walking you will not have enough data points of high intensity for the algorithm. Try running at a faster pace for like 15-20mins.
Regarding the app - did your activities since the update sync to the watch and can you see them in the diary at all?
I mean is the sync process broken or the data presentation?
Can you try logging off and on the app again? -
@egika I did try all possible uninstall/install, log out/log in options.
I’ll try running at a higher intensity for a few runs and see if the issue is solved.Thank you all for your prompt replies!
