After updating SuuntoLink yesterday on my Mac, it gives a critical error & contact customer support message, also won’t sync with my S9B. I contacted Sunnto support, and it looks like my OS operating system version and everything else is fine. They are supposed to get back to me but haven’t heard back yet. I was wondering if anyone else has the same issue. Thanks

Hi @reza-behnam, Suuntolink version 3.6.2 on my Mac wanted to updated today and took some time to download a new version. However, cliking on the “Update Suuntolink” gave me an error. I believe the update was then not installed due to the issue.

The error I see is from F-Secure SAFE that I have installed on my system. It identifies some files in the update as containing malicious code: as if ‘asko.js’ in app resources had a Trojan-downloader type of malware!

I will keep my Suuntolink not updated until there either is a new version or get another confirmation that there is nothing wrong with the resources the program is trying to load.

Edit: Suunto seems to want people to use Twitter to reach support and others have done so, e.g. https://twitter.com/miikakyto/status/1467576514195738628 and https://twitter.com/thijsj/status/1468313163456208898 where both Suunto and F-Secure are asking for more info

@samuli-pöykkö its ok there is no malware. I’ll flag this with the developers though
