S9 media controll
-
@mklbhm you should not be doing anything in particular on your phone, just use a media app (e.g. YouTube) and open the media control on your watch.
-
@isazi Thanks for answering so fast!
Sorry but I still get the response : āMedia canāt be foundāā¦
(Iāve restarted the watch) -
@mklbhm watch is paired with the phone and you have the latest SA version, right?
-
@isazi My exercises are synced to SA - That must mean that watch and phone are paired, right?
Iām running SA version 4.45.5. According to Google Play there is no newer version. -
@mklbhm okay, strange. I donāt know many more tricks, the function always worked for me. Maybe someone else can chime in.
-
Have you activated notifications on your watch and in the app? For me media control only works if this is activated.
-
@shrek3k Thank you, shrek3k!! I thought all setting would be done in the watch. Now I have changed the setting in SA aswell. Now it works! #MeHappy again!

Hello,
If SA is not running, then the feature does not work. Maybe it is by design, Iām not sure.
-
@77alex77 check that SA is allowed to run in the background, and it is not battery optimized.
-
@isazi :
hello. I have checked and that is the case. The only way to get the media control working with my setup is :
- start SA
- wait for SA synchro with my S9B
- start a media player
If I do only 3) then I get āMedia canāt be foundā on the S9B. Is it normal ?
-
@77alex77 not really normal, SA should be running in background all the time.
-
@77alex77 maybe due to battery optimization? Check that, also try uninstall/reinstall.
-
Thanks all, I will recheck the SA parameters and I will tell you.

Hello all.
The issue was with my mobile. The āauto startā feature for SA was not activated. Below is the tutorial I have followed for my redmi note (by discarding the step āApp pinning / App lockingā):
