Temperature during the swim
-
Knowing the temperature will give you an idea of how long you would like to stay in the water - and it is really important to me in next cold weeks… - after latest firmware (2.18.20) update it isn’t possible to see current temperature on the watch in swim modes (custom, created from Openwater swimming or Poll swimming mode). Post swim graf in activity data is wrong, just line with i quess min temperature, not a curve. It works before update.
after update:

@brano-kotik One question: In the second swim did you started with the watch already in the water before? Like you checked the temperature? Or started the same
For me is too flat for being real but this didn’t happen in my swims.
So let’s set the facts clear of the swim, I’m asking this.
When did you swim? More of 24 hours ago?

Hi, I have the same problem after update. I wrote it here.
@pavlas said in Software update 2.18.18 Sept 28 2021:Hi, my S9B doesn’t show the temperature and does not recording it in Openwater swimming, after the last update.
In other sports modes it works properly.
Is there something different? -
@pavlas I have the same problem with Suunto 9 peak and wrote it here:
@wotus said in Real world data:On my first openwater swimming with update 2.18.18 no temperature was measured. The custom datafield during activity was blank “–”. The logbook and SA entry don’t have a value for temperature. I guess it was about 16-17 degrees celsius. Before and after the workout temperature in watchface mode is showing normal. What was going wrong?

@wotus After several unsuccsessful tries I found a workaround forcing the watch to measure and record the temperature in openwater swimming (basic and custom exercise), with which all other exercises have no problem.
The only way I found is to activate S+ Weather - Insights before the start.
But even then, the realtime temperatur data field shows no value “–”.
Only if I switch the display to the Weather screen and then back to my first view, the real temperatur value will be shown and appears then in the logbook and in SA.
Can someone confirm this strange behaviour of missing temperatur in openwater swimming which didn’t happen before the last firmware update? -
@bulkan both swim i started with watch on the wrist so this is reason why temperature fall down and it should be similar on both images. Second swim is from 4.10.

activate S+ Weather - Insights
- this works for me too, i was asked in support chat on suunto.com and this was one of answer, but in my opinion it is software bug and i reported it to support

Ok, Is not right. Next time I need you send the logs from the app and let me know within the 24hours next of the workout with temperature to report it properly.
DM the user and when you send logs please. Thanks
