Since I updated my watch to 2.16.26, I’ve noticed that the watch face is much brighter than usual. This is certainly nice on bright sunny days, but the downside is that it doesn’t dim in the dark. From the glow, it’s almost as though there is a backlight on, though I have that option turned off, along with raise to wake backlight. I’ve restarted the watch, but this hasn’t fixed the issue.

Prior to 2.16.26, the watch would dim, and only light up when I pressed the button or the touch screen. It’s unfortunately bright enough that it’s kept me awake at night, and thus losing its utility as a sleep tracker. I also find that the battery drains much more quickly now.

      Thanks

@mountainherder If you engage DND or autoDND the backlight will not engage, I use this during sleep. In addition, there are different settings for the backlight brightness. Do you have the Backlight in settings turned on as well? There are two places where the backlight can be set.

@brad_olwin autoDND has been my fix, but thanks for the heads up about settings. It turns out I had standby on, and I think that was the issue!
