Suggestion : 2 alerts when the battery get below a certain level
-
On thursday I did a RPM training during noon time. all was fine and I should have been able to capture my exercise, but when I was coming back home I realized that my watch was showing me the “need to refuel” image and I was no more able to use it …
I was never alerted to refuel.
Hence my proposal
Could it be possible that 2 alerts are set 'for exemple : a first one around 30 or 25%, A second one around 15 or 10 %. and which will behave as follow
- First alert level => the watch vibrate 3 times (Hey !) and show you during a small time an image with a yellow battery and its percentage
- Second alert level (so later if user did not act) => the watch vibrate 2 * 3 times (Hey ho !!!) showing you during a mall time an image with this time an orange battery level and tis percentage
No idea if this percentages are the good ones, but my idea is :
-
Alerts should occur during the day for example 9h to 19h to allow the user to either take benefit of the day or in any case the night to come, so if the level tanget it before been out of the period, still the watch alert (not leaving tte night to come with no actiuon)
-
the first alert should tell you you should refuel that if you go for a full week-end + 1 day with a quite big use (so 3 exercises captured let say … 6 h each time)
-
the second alert should tell you must refule the battery if you want to use it durign a full day .
Doing such, the risk to not have enough battery is reduced.
May be the percentage could be set by the user as one may tell me that all depends on which activity we are generaly doing with the watch
I’m thinking to not just 1 or 2 hours exercise within a day but more a reasonable course (6h) + capacity to save / synchronize when back to refuge. -
@mister-pyc the battery alerts are already there. Also during activity. And the watch even learns your training pattern and let you know, the day before, if you should recharge.

Hello Isazi I saw in the doc during the exercise, but I never have been alerted … typically 2 days ago I do not recall at any moment havign observed such an alert, hence why my post.
Is it just a visual alert or it also vibrate ?
Thanks for you reply a Saturday btw !
-
@mister-pyc both, if the watch ‘thinks’ you can’t make it in your current battery mode it alerts you and asks whether it should switch to a less battery hungry mode. Additionally, once below 2% it switches off everything but chrono so you can still complete your training.
-
@mister-pyc it vibrates also. Should also make a sound if you have it configured that way.
-
Hello Isazi super thanks so I will check my configuration, most surely this is the pb
A big THANKS for your help !!! -
@dmytro
Thanks Dmytro I will countercheck, Isazi said me also that it is something that is configurable so most surely I did not did properly yet.
MERCI for the help ! -
@mister-pyc nonono, what @isazi meant was sound and vibration configuration during and outside of a training. If both are on, you’ll receive both sound and vibration warning as well as a pop-up screen.

Ok got it
Is it normal that you and me are on the Suunto website a Saturday at 21:12 ???
Too much addit of this watch
Enjoy your week-end -
@mister-pyc totally. I ain’t got no weekend: in the uni it’s study 24/7
