No Vo2 Max S9 since updates
-
Hi All
I have been having problems getting my watch to estimate my Vo2 Max. the last time it was displayed was the 16th of May. I have had 2 firm updates on the watch since then. Not sure if it makes any difference but I am running the latest beta test version of the Suunto app on my iPhone. Has anyone else had the same issue?
Thanks

@minimark069 Are you using wrist herat rate or a chest strap?
VO2max can only be calculated if the HR information is good enough. This can be challenging sometimes using the S9 built in HR sensor… -
Thanks @egika I’m just using the wrist HR. it had been working fine up until the last time it was recorded.

@minimark069 firmware updates going well, or you had to reset your watch?
-
@isazi it took a couple of tries to get the firmware updates onto the watch but both times the watch was reset and I had to do the initial set up (height, weight, etc.)
-
@minimark069 I understand. When the watch is reset this is normal. The previous VO2max values is lost, and the Firstbeat algorithm needs to start collecting data again. For someone one run is enough, other people need multiple activities with good HR. How long since the last reset, and how many activities?
-
@isazi 1 run and 4 walks, the rest of my activities are cycling or gym based. Since the last update 5 days ago
-
@minimark069 then it may not be enough. This is the expected behavior, not a bug.

@isazi I can confirm that on my next run i got a VO2 max reading, thanks for your help.
