      I am out of town and can’t order a new charger, but I’m not sure that’s the issue anyway. I’ve carefully soaped the watch and charger to make sure all the connections are clean and working, but no luck.

      I have also held down the top button for 12 seconds then 60 seconds, and no luck. It do get a message on the watch, FPO and then a countdown from 5 4 3 2 1.

      Any help appreciated!

      Thanks,

      Mike

        @michaeldwilson
        What is FPO, please?
        Btw, did you try any other wall charger, USB plug from any computer, etc…?

          @mff73 I wish I knew. I can’t find any documentation on it.

          Yes, I’ve tried charging in with a variety of methodfs.

              @michaeldwilson That should not happen! Do you have a computer and can you connect with the cable? Does Suuntolink see the watch?

                @brad_olwin Yes, I have tried connecting with my MacBook Pro. Suunto Link does not see the watch. I have been having connection issues for a while. I would clean the contacts and get better results, or squeeze the charger to depress the spring actions of the connectors to help it recognize the watch. That’s why I think it might be a dead charger, but I can’t say for sure.

                A related question: If the charger is plugged in to an outlet and magnetized (stuck to) to the housing of the desktop computer for hours (this accidentally happened to this charger), thus connecting all pins electrically to one another, will this ruin the charger?

                Thanks!

                  @michaeldwilson I do not know but a 12 sec soft reset on the watch should not give the screens you are seeing. If you cannot see the watch with SL time for a new cable, I know not convenient for you now. If that does not work contact support, as the watch will likely need to be sent in.

                  As far as the charger, mine gets stuck to a metal bookshelf when plugged into the computer all of the time and it is working fine.

                    @brad_olwin Thanks, Brad. I’ve resigned myself to that scenario. Best, Mike

                      Fpo is full power off.

                      Connecting the watch to USB and holding the upper button should wake up the watch if there is battery

                        @brad_olwin Update. I arrived home and the new charger was here. My SB9 fired right up and is 100 percent. Thanks for your help!
