Is power data used in Suunto's calculations?

I believe that although the watches can record power data, it’s not used for any recovery time/effort calculations, which are instead all based on HR.

Can anyone confirm/deny this?

I don’t mind either way, I’d just like to know if it’s worth the effort to pair a cycling power meter with the watch, if that data is already being captured elsewhere (Hammerhead Karoo 2).

@ze-stuart if the Karoo exports a fit file, you can just import that.

@isazi sorry this isn’t about getting power data into Suunto’s app, but whether there’s any point to it in the first place, hence the question of does Suunto use power data…

@ze-stuart I highly doubt it. However, for the TSS calculations I believe it is used so it might be worth it.
