TbT navigation
-
Today I was waiting for a gps fix after choosing a route with TbT and before I hit the start button, I was already informed about an upcoming waypoint.
Seems like a bug to me, someone experienced the same? -
@дима-мельниченко
I guess it was the notification about the “next” waypoint.
Afair when your reach a wp you get the info about the next one, so where you start … but maybe I remember wrong -
@sartoric sure it was the next wp. But it happened before an activity has officially begun. And that’s a little odd, don’t you think?
Like I was putting on my gear and waiting a little for a better GPS fix, so I could have overlooked this waypoint and this is impractical. -

Oh, ok, I missed this

How far away was the waypoint?The S7 does a notification 100m prior to the waypoint, then at the waypoint. So if you were within 100m of a waypoint, yes you would get oneo on start. But am suprised it arrived prior to a start of an activity.

@jamie-bg sure, it probably was nearer that 100m and I’m okay with that. What I find strange though is the timing of this notification. And it’s the only thing I think should be considered for a fix.

I created an issue about this.

@dimitrios-kanellopoulos I’ve noticed a pattern that might help resolve the issue if it is considered to be such:
So, if I’m configuring my training but not yet started or am in a training and have paused an activity, that all whilst using route navigation with WP, I get notified one I’m in WP proximity or what the next one is.
To summarize: if routes are in use, navigation notification appear no matter what.
