Ambit3 Peak settings
-
Ten days ago, I bought a Suunto Ambit3 Peak watch.
I would like to have acces to all the settings off the watch, but that’s impossible, because somebody decided (when they built this watch) it should only be done online, and not on the watch itself.
Then somebody found it necessary to remove the online tool to have acces to the watch settings.
The last ten days, i’ve been trying to connect the watch with Movescount.
Suunto made that impossible.
You need to have a smartphone to connect your watch to the Suunto app.
I don’t have a smartphone, and I don’t wanna buy a smartphone.
I can’t adjust the sport mode displays.
I don’t have acces to the gps settings.
I feel totaly screwed by Suunto! -
@dr-pil yeah, it makes sense to read the information Suunto is providing about it’s digital transition.
If you do this, you will find, that all interaction with your watch is possible using a computer and SuuntoLink2.
Just to review your data and at one point in the setup you will need to have access to a smart phone. This is when opening a Suunto App account.
This is a one time only job and can be done on a smart phone from a friend for example. Maybe it is even possible to open a Sports Tracker account and use those credentials for MovesLink2.
Then you can connect QuantifiedSelf or any other service like Strava etc. to your account and analyze your data there (don’t know your use case).Long in short: Ambit3 is very well usable with a PC and SuuntoLink2. All settings, routes, data transfer is possible.

@egika Didn’t you confuse Moveslink2 and SuuntoLink in your answer?
@Dr-Pil And the link to what @Egika said https://www.suunto.com/Support/faq-articles/transition/how-do-i-use-the-suunto-services-with-ambit3/.

@egika Thank You for Your help.
Thank’s to Your and Pavel’s help, I was able to change the training display settings on my watch.
I made a Suunto App account on a old android tablet. (and not a smartphone)
I installed the the Suunto link on my notebook and made a connection with Movescount.
It’s complicated but it work’s. -
