Sharing activities?
-
Needing to figure out sharing for a summer competition:
- Is the only way to share a .GPX file by creating a route?
- I can’t locate the “share activity” option (e.g. to generate a link and share it with somebody) in the app – Online guides make it sound as though if I click the activity, the “share” will appear on top of the picture of the route, and this does not happen.
Suggestions? I am on an iPhone.

@mvb_runs you can download the FIT file and convert it to GPX and then send that file to the people you need to.
And on Android there is a share button on every route, can’t believe there is no share at all on iOS.

@mvb_runs Re (2): from my quick check, the iOS app doesn’t show the “Share” button (or “Share activity”) if started without an internet connection. Could that be your trouble?

just checked on IOS, if you open /tap on the activity, you should see a photo icon and next to is on the right the Share icon.
You will be able to send a link for your friend.

@skdenes @mvb_runs (not me - but thanks) has the issue. I saw what you see until I tried starting the app offline. Then … no Share button (and no map), just the Add photo on its lonesome.
Try it: it will be interesting if you still get the Share button after force-quitting the app and restarting, all offline.

if I swith off the Wifi and other stuffs to be offline, there is only 1 icon, adding photo

@skdenes Yup. Makes a kind of sense, if I understand it correctly. The app requests a URL from the server generating & holding the GPX. No server link = no URL to share = no (point in displaying a) Share button?
