S9 Baro, data missing when pressing button for split time in exercise
-
@gregor-kržan let me know, if I manage to reproduce the error I can find a way to also let Suunto know.
Edit: so far I used the 2.14.12 firmware for my tests but never had the same problem as you.
-
Well looks like I haven’t resolve my problem. I did original running mode training and data is missing again or its invalid. And another strange thing … altitude graph is correct while ascent and descent have value 0! Could there be problem with HR belt…I use garmin…
-
@gregor-kržan and everything is correct on Strava?
-
I had the same problem saving a mountaineering session. using the heart rate sensor in the wrist, and a custom mountaineering mode. also no ascent / descent data, and min and max altitude reduced to a tenth of the actual (1880mt -> 188mt). I looked for info on this anomaly and I found this topic. however it only happened once, and if I look in the suunto logbook, an empty record appears, with no data.
-
@isazi still waiting for uploading to strava … but it looks like I’m not the only one with this problem. I was huge Suunto supporter but with anomaly like this at 500+ EUR watch I will consider Garmin for sure if problem won’t be resolved.
-
@isazi Uploaded .fit file to Strava…everything ok…corrrect HR, avg HR, elevation, calories … really have no idea whats going on
-
Okay @Gregor-Kržan and @Michele-Zago it is strange cause I’ve never had any issue like that with the Suunto 9 baro since 2019, and you guys are the first to write something like this in the forum. If I cannot reproduce it, maybe you could help me with this. It seems that your watches show the information wrong, and then SA shows it also wrong, but then the exported fit files contains the right data. If the activities with this problem don’t contain any privacy sensitive data (e.g. they are far from your house) you could post here the link to the activities and we can try to have someone at Suunto look into this.
Also probably very important immediately after it happens and you sync to your watch, if you could press the button in the watch menu in Android SA that says “send logs to Suunto” and tell us the right moment you did that, and your account (also with a private message if you don’t want to write it here) it would be super useful! -

@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos do you think this is an app thing? The data is there, also exported in the FIT file, but the app shows wrong values.

one point is also, watch is not showing information neither (if i understand well).
@Michele-Zago
is it an activity synced from watch to SuuntoApp directly or “imported” through a external fit file or synced with some Syncmytracks or Rungap ? -

For this Suunto developers need the logs, so we need to wait it happens again to someone and they can send logs.
-
Can I have an activity link please?
-
@mff73 in my case it has become frequent problem and i can alreadly tell at the end of training what will happed. If training session is saved in few seconds - everything about data is always ok, but if it takes more time, etc. 30 s or more , data is missing or invalid on logbook and Suunto App. I always use same stuff - Suunto 9 baro, garmin HR belt, and now “original” non customized sport modes.

Imported directly from the watch to Suunto App … but abnormally! In the sense that, at the end of the recording, while I was holding down the unlocking button (usually locking to avoid accidental button presses), the watch display turned off completely for about 20 seconds, and then went back directly to the display of the time, without going through the request for saving and feeling. When I then synced with Suunto App, this report came out wrong, while in the watch log there was a completely empty session

@michele-zago
ok, now Dimitrios has your link and will see.
btw, nice photo in your activity -
@michele-zago okay, actually your case looks different than for @Gregor-Kržan then.
-
Is this a one time activity?
The activity looks incomplete, like a internal crash happened and could not create the ascent etc data.
I think this will be solved with the update from yesterday
