S9B + Suunto HRM zones not fully represented
-
Used my S9B for a double swimming session in the pool today, paired with Suunto smart sensor, HR was correctly captured for the total time of my session 1 hr and 55 mins, however the watch didn’t show the HR distributed in the corresponding HR zone, only around 35 mins got there, it’s like that everywhere, watch, Suunto app and QS, sounds like a watch issue and the use of cached HR in the Smart sensor?
Calories, max HR, recovery time and other metrics seem to be fine (meaning calculated in the whole HR effort) , only the HR distribution is missing lots of time, for my other one hour sessions I’ve not seen this issue though.
Thoughts?

@herlas
what if you check now? -
@herlas I am suspecting the watch shows the same zones. The app reads blindly fromit
-
@dimitrios-kanellopoulos that’s correct, watch also displays same way, so apps just fed from that.
-
@herlas and it did it one more time today

@herlas please pm me a link

@herlas I notice that the HR recorded time isn’t matching back to the duration of the activity.
Based on my experience it should.
It doesn’t seem to capturing the full activity within the zones, as the graph does show the full activity time. -
@dimitrios-kanellopoulos on your way
-
@jamie-bg right, it has happened twice thus far, watch shows same as the app, it’s been two swim workouts using S9B and Suunto smart sensor

I noticed difference issue on my activities too, for me duration differs by couple of seconds from sum of HR zones, but I considered it comes from HR zone times aren’t displayed with 1/10th seconds precision.
But your case is way strange.Update: now that I look more carefully on my yesterdays run, when the watch lost connection with the strap at the end of the run, the difference is more then 10 seconds. Which is strange, if you consider that from precision, only max. 5 seconds may come (if there are 5 zones).
