Where is the “Add to my watch” button on suunto app ??

Hi everybody. first sorry for my broken english.

I have a problem with my Suunto ambit 3 peak : after 2 days searching everything, i could not find (there isn’t!!) the button “Add to my watch” on my suunto app in route…so i can create some tracks or import GPX without any probleme but there is no possibility to tranfer it to the watch. i try also with another phone with the same problem. (Samsung galaxy a3 or Samsung galaxy j5, same problem).

      Any idea ?

      Thank’s!

      Marc

For your Ambit you keep using Movescount and Suuntolink to transfer routes, not the Suunto app (at least for now).

@zemarcoo29 no, it isn’t, you’ll keep using it to manage your watch 🙂

Thank’s for you’re answer. I still not understand why they push us so hard to the app if the app as no utility and no capacity to transfer to the watch yet !? what can i do with my route in the app for the moment then ? nothing at all ??

Your Moves/Activities now go from watch to App. You were directed there so you wouldn’t waste time looking under the cushions in Movescount. Your routes (& settings & sports modes) still go from Movescount to the watch (only) via SuuntoLink.

You can get a link to the App route you have created, download it as a GPX and open that in Movescount to sync with your watch, if you want to spend the time. But otherwise, yes, it will just sit there for the moment.

So many hours to try find a button that not exist at all…Thank’s you guys for answer…

Last question : There is still problem with movescount that have less and less option. 50% of the time i coul’d not create a new route. There is also no information about the route any more, like elevation for exemple. Some computer allow my to create new route with my account movescount and some not ! No idea why…

Movescount doesn’t do altitude anymore, although imported route GPXes from certain other sources keep their elevation data even though Movescount doesn’t show it before syncing the route with the watch. Can’t remember which mapping sites, sorry. There are a few threads which tackle the subject. Here’s one:
                        https://forum.suunto.com/topic/5185/movescount-altitude-profile

You didn’t ask but there are also issues of manually-created waypoints in other services’ routes disappearing during the throughput but, IIRC, plotaroute’s tend to survive. Maybe its elevation data, too. Here’s a thread for that: https://forum.suunto.com/topic/4682/import-gpx-to-sa-with-waypoints

As for the 50/50 chance of being able to create anything … no idea, alas.

I also have some issues with route planning, seems like not all browsers are supported the right way.
