S9 baro backlight on/ off for nights outdoors
-
Hi everyone!
Besides all the endurance stuff, I also like to bivouac in the mountains.
For this I really miss a proper backlight on/off button.
Always taking off the gloves and tabbing on the screen (during cold nights the touchscreen doesn’t work really well…) is annoying.Is there an option for an easy switch between on/off besides the touchscreen tabbing?
Thx!
Best

@stephan-permann No, only auto on/off on button press or permanently on/off during activity in the activity options.

@surfboomerang what a pidy, but thanks!
Really hating Suunto’s decision to kill movescout… missing the ambit3 peak… -
I requested the same feature but no dice!

@theguyfromthesummit
if you set the watch to AutoMode, each time you press a button the watch will light on. Never need to taking off gloves to have light. What is missingg ? The fact that it will light off a few second after ? -
@theguyfromthesummit Try Standby On for backlight. It provides plenty of light to see the display when it is dark outside and has minimal effect on battery life. I have this on almost all the time in the winter and turn it off for summer months.

@mff73 thanks
But never found a automatic option, only standby.
How is it called?Missing the overall feel:
Rugged outdoor watch
Temperature change over the last hours
Serious look and no toyish symbols
Strap feels cheap (tried a couple) compared to the a3 etcSo overall it feels like a downgrade, but it’s just my feeling.
