Gaps in HR readings
-
Hi there,
I have noticed these gaps in my hr readings, does sb else have this issue?
I suspected it coulde be that i wear my watch too loose, but I have tighten the strap more snugly recently with no difference. Also one time my s9 didn’t track hr during my walking session, it was tightened really snag that time.
I have non baro s9 with latest watch fimware and latest SA beta release. -
@дима-мельниченко thats when you are not moving or when the watch cannot read a HR
Also make sure you have sleep tracking on to improve this
-
@dimitrios-kanellopoulos thanks for replying on a short notice. I have sleep tracking on. So you’re saying if i sleep really still watch goes into deep sleep mode or what?

@дима-мельниченко
AFAIK this works at this:
If the watch is outside the sleep times it can go to deepsleep and thus a gap can appear. (IE taking a nap at noon or leaving it on the table).
However, when you are sleeping no matter how still you are it wont go to deep sleep. Maybe you have the watch loose ? It just could not read the HR confidently.
So during the lets say 22pm to 07am that you have the defined sleep times it should not go to deep sleep. IF you have gaps there it should be because it cannot read the HR.
At least this is what I know

@dimitrios-kanellopoulos thank you. I will try to wear my watch tighter from now on.

After few nights in I can confirm that tightening the watch eliminates the gaps. It’s however funny that if the gaps are present, they occur at the same time each night.

@дима-мельниченко that’s indeed funny.

@mff73 yeah, i thought so myself XD
Actually I almost do not move when sleeping, so it could be that before waking up I start to turn more and watch loses hr readings if the strap isn’t tightened enough
