@margusl also - would I get good data if I used the Suunto belt and smart sensor?

Yes.

@fazel , I only have H10, but I’m assuming(!) there’s no difference on that regard - so broadcasting should not be affected by standalone mode. To my surprise I got this while swimming with H10, recorded with A3P:

@isazi I’ll have to look. I have a blue belt that came with my Ambit3 Peak I believe. How long has the smart sensor been in production? I think that belt is three/four years old…
Thanks!

@margusl I have the H10 too. This is not cached, correct - simply broadcasting?
-
@fazel , it’s still the same Smart Sensor, if your belt is OK (which, I’m afraid, is highly unlikely for a 3 or 4 y/o Suunto belt) it will work just fine with your 9
And as I don’t have an entry for that day in Polar Flow it must be from broadcast. -
@fazel Hi, are you happy with this sensor ? It’s interest me for Hiking and running.
Have a nice dayEdit : i just see the baterry duration, to short for me
-
@g287-sf Which sensor?
-
@fazel i was meaning the Oh1. Sorry i miss some technical word in english.
-
@g287-sf Okay - you are good. I like it a lot. Probably my favorite HR sensor. The only caveat is for some reason the connection is glitchy if I wear it on the opposite arm as my watch AND it (the OH1) is covered by one or more sleeves (which is frequent in the cold weather). So, if I’m running outside, I make sure to place the OH1 on the same arm as the watch. I’ve experienced zero dropouts this way.
When I ride rollers, the OH1 is connected to my laptop and Garmin 830 via ANT+ and my Suunto 9 via bluetooth. No issues with three connections.

@fazel thank you for your feedback, mine arrived today. I have the idea to wear it on the same front arm as my watch so it should be perfect. At first i want a classic one but for hiking it should bored me with my backpack sternum strap. So i prefer this one and charge it by night at my base Camp.
