Latest survey
-
It is been awhile since the survey.
-
@suzzlo if you go to suunto plus webpage, you can take one manually. I think you have to press “suggest a feature” button or smth like this, then you will get to survey about suunto plus, if this is the one you mean. There was also a survey about widgets, but I don’t know whether it can be accessed at the moment.
(Oh well, now I see which survey you meant) -

It takes awhile to implement these things. I have often seen what we indicate in surveys becomes a larger feature than expected. One thing I have appreciated is how well and how deep Suunto will implement features into their ecosystem. For example, when planned moves occurred it was integrated deeply into the watches. I would expect that TrainingPeaks training loads, fatigue, etc would become more than just widgets for SA.

@brad_olwin If that happen it would be a great surprise. I can’t wait to see what bring to us the last surveys. We did some surveys.
In iOS dark theme and widgets…TrainingPeaks… Stryd. ( I keep asking Stryd to be in SuuntPlus)…
-
@bulkan Stryd in SuuntoPlus. I use cycling power for many runs, for hill intervals, sprint intervals and for non interval runs. Works great.

@дима-мельниченко I was looking for survey link to see the screenshots, but someone put here (which is enough for me)
Thanks!

I just noticed a new survey, but this time about the watch instead of SA
-
@surfboomerang oh yeah, and it contained lots of goodness
-
@isazi I didn’t get it. Tell more
-
@bulkan it was about what we want in a watch, which features are important, not only hardware but software too.
-
@isazi Very interesting questions indeed! Let’s see what it brings us…
Or when we have to buy a new watch
-
@surfboomerang
I think, maybe not too soon.
But the questions that were asked or the multiple choice fields that we could pick were a bit surprising for me. For connectivity I did not pick any field.
I think in some cases Suunto is getting a bit too fancy in relation where we stand now… cellular connection?! at the moment we still need a copper wire for firmware updates I could imagine bluetooth as a reasonable next step. -
has someone capture the link?

I asked about a track workout feature that’s similar to Garmin’s a few days ago…Glad to see that was included in the survey. It just might happen
-
@freeheeler Maybe for the next survey they can add a comment field on every question so I can explain my choice.
For example, am I interested in cellular connectivity, offline music, maps, contactless payment and solar?
Sure! Bring it on! IF…
It doesn’t affect the price or size of the watch, I have the option to use it or turn it off. Also when it has great impact on the battery drain or other features.
All those features are on my nice-to-have list and not on my must-have list. So if Suunto can add them without a tradeoff I’m interested, but if this means that the price of the watch will go up with €200-€300, I’m not so interested anymore.
In fact there are not many features (especially hardware related) that would make me replace my S9B as I’m quite happy with the watch. At this moment it fits all my needs (except for a lock button).
But who knows, life is full of surprises. Maybe Suunto can surprise me with their new invention!
(Consider this a challenge, Suunto ) -
@tyresej4 If Suunto is using this survey to determine the course of action in new hardware, my guess is that we don’t see those features in the near future.
If they also use it for software updates, maybe by the end of this year. Who knows…

@surfboomerang
or anyone else could surprise us, who knows competition is there and is good for developmentI am with you with nice to have features… but I am 100% convinced that a cell connected watch with payment and maps (that is not a wearOS) is for sure not going to be cheaper than the original S9B.
…might well be that S9B becomes the new A3PS for a certain group of people, including me.
I like technology, but you can’t catch me with payment or music in the watch -
@freeheeler thank you for the link. I did it and ask for what you know
