S9B upgrade / factory reset problem (v2.10.26)
-
@André-Faria Thank you! But manual firmware freeze too
-
@azorg When you connect the watch to your pc do you see a warning from Windows about a unrecognizable device? Assuming Windows is your OS
-
@surfboomerang I don’t see any windows warnings…
-
@azorg
eventually try with the “shipping mode”, instructions here :
https://forum.suunto.com/post/46365 -
@Mff73 I tested this method too. No result.
I can only reset my watch with rewrite 2.10.26.
2.11.38 and 2.12.30 freeze on upgrade… -
@azorg
Eventually downgrade to less than 2.10, and reupgrade.
Are you sure you have proper FW file for your watch model (just to be sure )? -
And don’t forget “ask support” solution
-
@Mff73 I manually try to flash IbizaC-fw_2.11.38.3143-F.zip and Ibiza-fw_2.12.30.3539-F.zip. When can I find firmware for S9?
-
version seems OK. I also got “Ibiza-fw_2.12.30.3539-F.zip” in my Suuntolink folder.
Long shot… any software on you pc that could cause trouble? Try another PC? Reinstall Suuntolink?
Do you see any errors in the logfiles in the directory: C:\Users\<your user>\AppData\Roaming\Suuntolink?
-
Manual update to 2.10.26 (drop file to gear) crash too.
Only reset+flash 2.10.26 works… -
@azorg Any errors in the Suuntolink log files?
-

@azorg I would suggest you to contact Suunto support.
-
@isazi is official e-mail, chat?
Have you any contacts of developers?
Phone support don’t respond in my country… -
@azorg
if you open the support page you should get chat, if available -
@azorg also if you use the Suunto app, you can contact support from there.

This indeed.
Although it is strange that you can flash the old firmware but not the last two. Have you also tried an older version then the one you have now?

v2.10.26 flash success only in recovery mode with reset watch (if I disconnect watch during flashing).
If I flash v2.10.26 manually (drag and drop to gear zip file) then watch freeze too on second dot… -
Is a “Reset watch” in recovery mode not the same as tell the watch to reset it’s settings to the factory default of the installed firmware? So the firmware file is never transfered to the watch.
While with the manual drop of a zip file is an actual data transfer?In brief… the watch won’t flash any firmware (current or newer).
This was exactly my case more then a year ago. Once I replaced the charging cable, my issue has been resolved.
I still use the old cable as a spare charger, but I can never use it to flash firmware onto my watch. -
@surfboomerang some times I can manual flash to 2.10.26 (1 of 5) and I see all long flashing process…
Manual update to 2.11.x and 2.12.xx freeze on second dot flashing
