@Egika yes yes, that is clear for mi…but if suunto wants be the best, should be offers the best.
And in my opinion I am not requesting complex things, (in my opinion) are basics things that others cheapers smartwatch has.
I appreciate your answers, thanks a lot. -

I appreciate your answers, thanks a lot.I think @Egika stated it fairly clearly. The S7 is not marketed or targeted to a user that would purchase an S9. Whether that is a good idea or not could be debated but IMHO Suunto wanted to make the S7 as easy to use as possible for the “Urban Athlete”. Frankly, I am pleasantly surprised by the recent updates as again IMHO they are more targeted to an S9 user or S5. I have some of the same issues you do. As the S7 stands today, if I did not have one I would now purchase one to complement my S9 even though I am an iPhone user. I used an Apple Watch for some time and while it is a better smart watch, the exercise options even with 3rd party apps are nowhere near as good as the S7. I could get ~12h on my AW4 if using connected GPS on the iPhone (the watch alone maybe 6-8h max). Now the S7 can go close to 15h…amazing!
I do not think you will see parity of S7 with other watches as they serve different markets but it doesn’t hurt to ask and I vote too.

Brad, I am absolutely agree with you, S7 is not S9.
I am very happy with the watch, I think that is fantasctic, but I think some things are missing, not for an experienced user but for amateur athletes.
For example, some days I want run in a park near from my home, by the way there a lot of traffic lights, should be fantastic the autopause option. And these days I would like run at pace of 5:30 km/mim, an alarm could be very useful to do the training more productive.
I am talking about basics things for urban users, not a specifics options for mountain users or others advanced athelets (we can forget the storm alarms). Thanks again, and thanks for your answers!!

@makzam I know that the Field Testers are also asking for auto pause…I have. Definitely something that I would have expected the S7 to have.

Am I the only who think that the duration of waypoint alerts in screen is not enough? Since you feel the vibration and beep until the alert disappears I think you have 3 seconds or less. For me it is impossible to read

System Version H MR2?
My understanding from what I have read is that this is supposed to be the new wear os update that google announced for fall release - can anyone confirm that?If that is the case, what occurred to the weather update that was supposed to be in the update?
Battery life improvement - to soon to tell in regards to general use and if Suunto app extends battery life (abnormal use at the moment as I test and check features).
Reduction in time to launch apps - difficult to tell as they normally launch so quickly anyhow, however based on the Suunto app which occasionally used to show a red swirl on black background - which now brings up app straight away; and the play store app which used to show 1/2 green swirls on black background and now doesn’t - yes I would say this is quicker - but really barely noticeable as was originally very quick.Anyone else noticed anything along these lines - and do we really have the fall update; if so where is our improved weather app.

@Metalmi - I know but based on what I am seeing compared to what we expected based on Google’s statements - I am wondering if we really do have it or not. Or if it is structure for the next release; and the additional bits like weather etc will be somehow dropped later.

Don’t know about that. This might be just a performance improvement, hopefully, the rest won’t be dropped.

The weather update will most likely come through Play Store
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos was just looking for this in the apps information in the watch. found nothing about which app can this be?
@Jamie-BG Gerald posted something about it in his blog (and I asked the same question as you in his FB post). -
@Egika from what I understand the weather screen we all show google announced it was leaked and then google announced it
Weather comes via the Google app afaik as well as assistant afaik
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos , yes I have looked into it and when the wear os 2.2 was updated to H MR1 google split the base structure (bones) from the app side (the flesh as you could consider). The give the base structure to the manufacturers who then build on top of it - this is what mainly drives peformance, battery life etc. The rest is now all app based and comes through the play store as part of the Google app. It is easy to the see the benefits of going this way and certainly makes sense, so I suspect we will see the updated weather app come through the play store as and when made available by Google.

Is there a really a battery improvement visible in the latest update?
-
@Dariusz-Rybak yes! Due to the always on power saving display and with the new GPS FusedTrack setting, now I can finally record a full day of hiking
