Hi, i’m a Traverse Alpha owner. I wonder if Suunto is planning to implement full route planning support for Traverse Alpha watches via the Suunto App. Unfortunately, planning routes via Movescount web interface does not provide elevation data. Also it would be a cool feature to plan routes on your phone (and not on your PC using Movescount) and send the gpx directly via bluetooth not requiring internet connection (useful when you are in remote areas, camping etc.).

Information about TA support would be highly appreciated!

      Best,
      Stefan

Unfortunately I believe that this aspect has not yet been clarified by Suunto. Of course I join in your hope for my Ambit3

@Saketo-Nemo Thank you for the Feedback! If TA series will be finally abandoned, it would be a nice move to give the community some source code to build a workaround or even fully customize the watch since the hardware is pretty neat in my opinion :). Fingers crossed!

I wouldn’t count on it. I think Suunto wants people to upgrade to their newer and more expensive watches. Yes they make great hardware (“built to last”), but I guess they expect us now to buy new sports watches at least every 2 years or sooner.
