POI Managment still not available in Suunto App :(
-
Re: POI …
The continued absence of POI management in the “new” Suunto App is a massive problem. If you plan to do any type of adventure it is critical to have the ability to store locations of safe places (caves, water sources, accommodation) in advance.
Suunto’s drive to push customers onto a platform that does not offer feature parity with Movescount is essentially a betrayal of the deal that any user bought into upon acquiring their watch.
Also, it appears that Movescount is not being maintained properly any more. There are issues with the route designer and synchronization of Routes and POI’s from Movescount - so regardless if whether I use Movescount oor the Suunto App I cannot leverage the full feature set that was posed to me when I bought the watch!
I love my Suunto watch, but until the Suunto App offers full feature parity with Movescount (Route designer, POI management, Web UI) my advice to people looking for a sports watch is that they should rather go with Garmin or a company that values their customers :(.
Please resolve this feature shortfall so that we can all start saying good things about Suunto again!!!
