Smart Sensor pairing to Suunto App (Android)
-
3 weeks ago I purchased the Suunto smart sensor. This was for open water swimming, my Polar H10 was not compatible for the stored data to be transferred. I can pair both Spartan trainer and Smart sensor but get a terrible readings every time.
Here’s an example:
I have paired the Smart sensor to my phone and have the latest version of Suunto App. I can’t find how to access information from the Smart sensor. like battery life and software version.
If I try and record an activity with the app, the HR data field just reads zero. The app is obviously not connected to the sensor.
I can’t find anything online from Suunto to instruct how to connect the sensor to the app. Only out of date instructions related to Movescount.
Am I missing something obvious?

@Jay-Elliott I don’t think you can connect the sensor to the app. You can connect it to the sports tracker all though.

afair SportTracker could be used as an interface to use the sensor in SA but maybe at a certain point this was (or will be ) added to the SA toolbox

After using the Polar H10 I though it would be standard to check battery life and carry out software updates.
Any ideas why my readings look so bad when open water swimming? -
I have just sent the sensor back to Amazon and purchased the Garmin Swim 2. Hopefully just use the Swim 2 for Open and pool swimming and keep my Spartan trainer for everything else. Fingers crossed it will all workout.
