Feature suggestion: get daily hr monitoring from bt belt

To save battery from ohr sensor and possibly have less bruises on wrist and more on chest.

@lexterm77 I remember my Spartan Trainer measured daily HR (or at least the current HR at the moment you opened that screen with HR) using HR belt when it detected it. When it didn’t find the belt, it used the optical sensor. But only in early firmwares, later on this functionality disappeared… I don’t know why. Maybe the fact that the watch searched for the HR belt every time the measurement was triggered consumed more battery…
Oh, and in those times, instead of the big number telling you the current HR, there was a graph - same like the daily HR graph, but showing few minutes only. I found that extremely handy for checking the resting HR… But Suunto probably wanted to keep it simple and replaced this with a number only. -

Are you saying you don’t have the HR graph ?

I found that extremely handy for checking the resting HR… But Suunto probably wanted to keep it simple and replaced this with a number only.I think one more option in general hr monitoring settings would not clutter menus too much to choose bt belt, because FB rely on RR and belt does it better than any ohr. In the summer tanned skin is harder to read and I can notice ohr needs more time to read especially if I am in sun or soaked in water or sweat. Energy required to find bt belt is less than lighting up those LEDs.
I remember those menus were on early firmware on Spartan WristHR and I remember it worked with belt because it was reading my hr while I left watch on table. Even better if you can leave your watch charging all night while belt does your sleep hr analysis and body battery.
I liked 5min hr chart but that was before FB features so you can self diagnose whether you can reach your hr rest rate or you are not ready for a long activity.
Speaking of charging watch overnight,
I would also add a high temperature environment for battery charging not to exceed 80% to prolong battery capacity over time during summer when watch gets pretty hot if you stay directly on sun. Heat and high state of charge kills battery(especially discharging) my laptop has this feature and my battery did not lose much capacity over several years because charger forgets about charging batteries above 80% of standard capacity, in winter I turn it off and get full 100% charge. If iphones had this feature battery would last much longer than 3 years.
All battery engineers know this it’s included in the battery charging circuit guidelines.I sometimes use little pocket solar 1W panel to charge watch but both get so hot in the sun that I usually hide watch under panel so it doesn’t overheats. If i could rest in the shade and keep my watch charging while still continuing to monitor hr and not worrying about the heat death of a battery. I can even clip charger on my backpack and charge watch without interruptions in hr monitoring or maybe even while being on the wrist if magnet wasn’t so thick.

@sartoric I am just missing that 5 min (or maybe it was 10 min) graph. But I created a special sports mode to deal with it
@lexterm77 I am charging my watch to 80-85 % max all the time. Would be nice to have this option automatically implemented, but it’s not so hard to keep an eye on your watch from time to time and stop the charging when it’s above 80
Anyway, daily HR from the belt would come handy in many occasions. For example, after finishing the exercises. I have my S9 often mounted on my bike or I’m wearing it on top of my jacket sleeve not touching the skin. When I stop activity recording, watch soon switches to optical HR and records nonsense if I forget to put it immediately to my wrist. In many cases I’m still wearing the belt while stretching or cleaning my bike afterwards anyway. So why not to use it?
