SSU set current altitude during move

Is there actually the option on SSU to set the current altitude during an activity. I tried to find it last time i’ve been in the mountains but couldn’t find it in any menu. I thought I read that it could be used to overcome pressure changes due to weather changes and therefore lead to a much more precise altitude profile recorded by the watch.
