Suunto App: Unable to log-in

I have been using Movescount but feel now is the time to move over to the new Suunto App before support ends! I’ve downloaded the app but whatever method I use to login (email/password, Facebook, or Apple ID) I get the error:
“Login failed: In case you are trying to log in with Movescount account, please create a new account”.
I am unable to create an account with Suunto App using the same email as the one I have with Movescount. Am I being forced to use a different e-mail address?
I don’t particularly want to use a different e-mail address and I’m worried that this may make transferring my history difficult.
