Heart rate beep

Hi all,
I apologize if this has been discussed before. I searched the archives and can’t find a reference to this issue.
I want my Suunto Baro 9 to beep (or vibrate) when I hit a certain heart rate. Is this possible? (I’ve begun running the Maffetone Method. We’ll see how it goes.)

yes it does, vibrate and beep… you have to activate zones and select your target zone in the startmenu -

@TELE-HO Thanks for the note! When I go to Running Basic/Start/Options/Target, I see only Duration and Distance as options, not Heart Rate. Am I missing a setup somewhere? Thanks!

go to intensity zones, not target! sorry for that, I’ve used it too few times…Another question. I have looked through the docs and I don’t see whether it’s possible to increase the beep volume. The volume of the beeps can’t compete with the lawn mowers, clanky passing bicycles, or even the many, many birds along the route.

For me too. This is for some not so good for training.
I wish I could adjust something. Length of beep and vibration. For me essential for training. I hope we get an update. Don‘t want to buy another watch for flat long runs.Discussion is going on here. Please vote up.

@michaeldwilson The best I have found is to have both the tone and vibration on. Typically one of those will get my attention.
