S9 altimeter issues

Few days ago I bought a copper version of s9 Baro .

Some strange things are happening with elevation profile during my runs on flat terrain .
My start elevation is about 109 m. On my home route the altitude difference is max +/- 5 m.
Unfortunately elevation profile from s9 Baro is different .

So this happens always .
After runs I figured out that he altitude graph is related to the temperature.
I made a pause in a sunny place . Altitude is raising with temperature .

So the next step was the fridge test .

Before fridge test altimeter show 123 m

After 30 min in fridge I got 60 m .

When the temp was raising the altitude was raising too .

60 m temperature -12
71 m temperature -5
113 m temperature 27

It’s a new unit, bought in previous week. Barometer is broken ?

search for the famous fridge test and perform it… the result will tell you if it’s DOA… it appears to be likely

@TELE-HO I read about it . It seems it’s broken but its an old topic . Maybe something can be done via hard reset or … I just can’t believe that the new unit is broken

I don’t hope so either… but if this is the case, then Suunto has a top notch customer service and you will have it repaired or replaced within very short time.

@Maryn last resort if you need it for your trip, leave it under water for few hours, maybe even the whole night.

Just to inform . Suunto repair service works very quickly.
The watch was repaired in 7 days (with transport both ways!). Well done Suunto!
