I too having issues exactly as Jesse describes
I am on day nine (9) of my new (refurbed) Spartan Ultra, purchased through the Suunto site. On day one “No sleep tracked today.” Sleep tracking has worked for the rest of the week until last night. Like Jesse, I really don’t want to hard reset. I will see how it goes tonight after just performing a soft reset.
