GPS issue
-
Hi,
From 1.5 years I am having issues with GPS fix, It’s almost impossible to force watch to catch GPS fix (waited around 30 minutes, and next 30 minutes of training). Today I am rally Pis… Of… because of water and the possibility to catch GPS FIX. Nothing helps to restart, turning on/offGALILEOGLONASS, connecting to the SuuntApp. I remember once I requested a ticket to Suunto but they didn’t respond to my request. I remember once in the past I head that similar issue but after flashing old software everything starts working fine, but after upgrading to the latest all started from the beginning. I need to wait a couple of mines or even hours to get GPS fix. I am pretty sure it’s related to the firmware… is there someone on that forum who can contact with Suunto developers… I am really frustrated that situation because from update to update I don’t see any progress and even logic like they say how I can put trust to that if no one from support is possible to help me… -
@Michał-Rudzki that’s very weird, I haven’t heard other people complaining for such long time to fix. Have you contacted support? Maybe there is something wrong with your watch.

@Michał-Rudzki
Which watch do you have ?
Where are you trying to get fix ? Inside water ? -
Just to be sure… are you outside when you try to get a fix?
Waiting so long isn’t normal. My Suunto 9 is almost instant. 20 sec max on a bad day. -
@Michał-Rudzki
What watch exactly do you have ? We are in Spartan topics, and you wrote about Galileo (which is not supported be Spartan).
Which FW version on this watch, please ? -
@Michał-Rudzki if you own an S9 the s9 with the latest FW should get GPS very very fast.
If you have this problem then please send your unit for service

Sorry for missing detail information it’s Spartan Sport HR v2.8.32 and you have right it’s about GLONASS
