Syncing HR data
-
@Mff73
Feeling is set to “on”. Did you mean toggle to “off”? -
@isazi
Sorry not found. In the meantime, I have done a soft reset and unlike what is stated in the user handbook, the activity is not in the logbook -
@pauljanssens
Ah, no i meant to be set to ON.
So if it doesn’t work… -
@pauljanssens Look for saving activity or search for anything HR related in my posts. I was the one who brought up the syncing HR issue recently. Having Feeling enabled kind of, sort of helps. What helps even more is a soft reset (12 sec up button press). I haven’t yet accounted this issue with the latest firmware, but then it usually happens after a while.
-
@NickK thanks, I have done the soft reset. Strangely the soft reset deleted the activity
-
Today I had the same problem. Spartan Baro was hanging while syncing HR data. Soft reset helped, but deleted activity. Feeling was ‘on’. What to do in that situation? I lost really important activity?
-
@bbx100 I have the same problem sometimes and my trick to preserve the activity is: keep the circle spin for a long time (sometimes half an hour) and the watch will reset itself. If not, after the long time of spinning connect watch to pc and watch will reset and activity will be preserved. Don’t reset watch with pressing button for 12sec, activity will be deleted. Let watch to reset itself is crucial.
-
@paata Thx. This is good advice
-
@bbx100 I did soft reset and it never deleted activities, but then maybe I was lucky. I think the advice above is good: wait until the spinning stops and/or watch resets itself. I noticed this spinning thing happens with one specific HR sensor and only when there were dropouts in heart rate. Also, the spinning duration seems to be proportional to the length of the workout: the longer you went the longer it spins.

Which one?
I never had any problems with the Polar H10.

I could be the case as I forgot to stop the activitiy and removed belt to wash it. Then I saw the activity is still going on so I stopped it. Than it hanged. Also in my case the battery was also on 3% which I didn’t noticed. I left watch for some 15min to sync, but that didn’t happen so I soft reset the watch. Then I lost activity.

So I’m glad that this thread exists… I have been having problems with my watch ‘Syncing HR data’ for my warm ups, not such a problem… then when I have done a run after NO problems it just saves with feeling ‘OFF’
Today I did not bother recording a warm up, mainly due to have to do a soft reset if it crashes… so went straight to run… guess what, its now stuck on ‘saving’ I really do not want to loose my run as it’s part of my training plan, the good news is that I have a Stryd on so I will get the run no matter what, but sadly no HR for the Stryd.
Given this thread it seems to me that there has been a but developed over the last couple of weeks for my Suunto Spartan sport watch.
I’m just waiting now to see if the watch will reset itself as mentioned above, if not I’m then going to connect it to moveslink and see if either of these will preserve the run data.
When will I HAVE to use SA for my Spartan sport? currently I’m still using movescount.

Well, as my previous post says I tried all ways now and it’s no good, the run is just LOST cannot save the poor thing.
Sadly this is now becoming very annoying as due COVID I’m doing a challenge with friends and this will now NOT appear on Strava.
