Ambit3 Sport won't sync with App

My Suunto Ambit3 Sport will not sync properly with the new app. The watch and the app say the devices are connected by the data (i.e. details of a new ‘move’) from the watch does not show up on the app after it ‘syncs’. I have to add each ‘move’ manually. Surely there must be a way for the Ambit3 Sport to sync the moves with the app and display all the details that was in the old Movescount app.
