What setting is recommended for running inside on a track? My Suunto 9 does not have an “Indoor Running” exercise option. I tried the treadmill option and the results were wildly inaccurate.

      Thanks!

      Mike

What results are you talking about?
Accuracy speed and distance wise is limited indoors if you are not using a foot pod.
The poor watch alone only has your wrist movement and should figure out your pace and speed…
        a) try to calibrate the accelerometer by outdoor runs with best GPS (still limited)
        b) get yourself a bluetooth foot pod that will give you accurate results.

If you are talking about heart rate and other body data, there should not be a difference to other sports though…

Thanks! I will check out the bluetooth foot pod. That sounds like the way I should go. I don’t know if the accelerometer calibrates automatically or if that’s something I should do. I can imagine it’s still limited, and perhaps more so because my outdoor runs are in the hills and trails, not on a flat track, like the 440 indoor track where I run in the winter sometimes.

Is there a recommended foot pod that costs less that $100 US? I see that some people use the Zwift food pod. Is this a compatible foot pod?

                  Thanks!
