Suunto 7 for IPhone
-
@NickK I think many of your points are spot-on. I like many of the sport features and love the capability but just determining how much of it I’ll actually use vs. the idea of using it

Another fun question: can you modify or edit the data you see on the far left screen that usually starts with ‘Good afternoon’ and the weather below? There’s quotes and such. Curious if I can prescribe what I’d like to see there.
-
@Sarah-Gribble Not sure. I’d check Google Assistant settings in Wear OS app. Presumably that screen should be all Google’s magic, with context based information you need here and now.
In practice, it’s mostly just a stale weather forecast and a quote.

When I download new watch faces, what prompts them to install on the watch? I’ve installed watch via phone and computer (both signed in with gmail and recognizing the watch) but nothing is showing up on wear OS app or on watch. Sorry if I’m missing something obvious, still adjusting to this new world.
-
@Sarah-Gribble I think you can apply the watch face either in Wear OS app, or directly on the watch. Long press on your current watch face, then pick a newly selected one from the list. There will be a gear icon at the bottom: tap that to configure your watch face.

Hello,
Guys are you able to reply on SMS from watch? Which app r you using? -
-
@pilleus thank you. Should I change something in settings? I cannot see SMS in app and also cannot reply
-
@Daniel-Osojca sorry, I think I didn’t recognise that you are using an iPhone. I have an Android phone. Sorry!
Or the difference is the payed version vs the free version?
Your phone number is added as account?
-
@Daniel-Osojca You can’t reply to SMS messages on iPhone as this feature is restricted by iOS. Only Apple Watch can do that.
While we are at it: you can’t get full messages either (they will be truncated based on notification text limits), can’t execute custom notification actions like deleting an email or marking a task as complete, and can’t install any legacy Wear apps that came as companions to the phone counterparts… These still exist, yeah!
There’s a number of other limitations too, sadly none due to Google and all because of the functionality Apple in their infinite wisdom decided to lock down.
